My butt is parked on a Situations leather executive chair I bought in 1997 for about $80. on sale at Staples. You can get this chair now I believe for about $40. or less using some of the deals to be had in IRD hot deals forum. Try seeking out OfficeMax, Staples, Office Depot, or even Viking Office Products coupons to apply to buying the chair. As it stands, I'm happy with this chair, it's been comfortable and sturdy, tilts, and is easy on my back. Depending on your weight the padding may collapse on the seat portion, but I'm a lightweight so I don't have that problem. This chair is as comfy to me today as it was brand new.

whats an IRD, I saw two deals at office max, but they are not local, so I am hesitant. Ideally I would want to be able to sit on them.

Is leather better of fabric? In some cases the pneumatic pump (lifter) goes out from what I gather, is this true? is there a special kind I should look for?

I also have a wooden floor studio apt. I have to make the most of the little space I have but, the folding chair is not working chair, my posture has become horrible.

Any opinions on the wired/mesh chairs or are they fancy little items only?

Do you have a local Staples? Sometimes there are printable coupons to use in store only that could get you quite a deal.
I'm sorry. I apologize for not being clearer. IRD is Internet and Retail Deals Forum located here.

I think that would be a matter of personal preference whether it's leather or fabric. I have never had one or known of a pneumatic lift going out on a chair. It may have for some others though, just no experience with that happening here.

I have no opinions on those, sorry.

I can really only attest to the chair I own, how long I have owned it, and my satisfation rating with it. If you had to put this particular chair on a scale of 1-10, it would easily score an 8. I hope this helps.
