Spend $40 or more two times at Walmart Stores or walmart.com and get a $20 statement credit on your card account.

Terms:

To be eligible to receive the $20 statement credit, you must be 18 or older, a holder of a valid consumer American Express Credit or Charge Card issued in the U.S. and you must have received this offer letting you know that you have been pre-enrolled in the campaign (a Registered Cardmember) To receive $20 Statement credit, Registered Cardmembers must complete 2 separate transaction of at least $40 or more at any WalMart store or online at www.WalMart.com (each, an "Eligible Transaction") between 11/18/08 and 11:59 PM EST on 12/18/2008. Only one registration per Cardmember account permitted. Certain American Express Cards, including, but not limited to , HealthCare Related Cards, Prepaid Cards, and Corporate cards, are not eligible for this offer. To receive offer, both transactions must be made on the same American Express card. Transactions made on another card account or a supplementary Card with different Card account number are not eligible. The $20 will be credited to the Card account as statement credit. Statement credits ar generally issued within 5 business days upon completion of the 2 Eligible Transactions, but it may take up to 2 billing cycles from the date of you last Eligible Transaction for the statement credit to be posted to you account. Limit one statement credit per Cardmember. If your Card is part of a rewards program that enables you to earn rewards for purchases, your ability to earn rewards may be based on the amount of your purchase after the statement credit has been applied. in order to earn rewards, your card must be enrolled in the applicable rewards may be based on the amount of your purchase after the statement credit has been applied. If your card account accrues finance charges, the balance up on which finance charges are assessed will include the gross amount of your transactions (i.e. without application of the $20 credit). and you will be responsible to pay amounts due as provided in the terms of your cardmember agreement. If your Card account is a charge card account on which you have activated a flexible payment feature (e.g. Expo) the gross amount of your purchase will be changed to flexible payment feature if it is eligible for that treatment, while the $20 credit may be credited to the due in full balance of your charge card account. In this case, finance charges will accrue on the flexible paymanet feature balance until that balance is paid in full.

One day I was there at the store and opened an account because the lady said I would get $20 off the transaction.
The bill came today and the 20 is not taken off. I called and it takes serveral billing cycles for it to show up. I am paying the bill minus the 20 and closing the account. bang.gif

Plus, it was a DISCOVER card, not a VISA or MC. evil.

I can understand the frustration, but if you close the account with an outstanding $20 balance unpaid, it will mess up your credit, and then they win.
