Neat idea. It's like getting the bag for just 42 cents if you don't have that People magazine cover (the bags sell for 99 cents).

If you do have a that issue of People it says "No postage necessary if mailed in the United States" on it. smile.gif

I'll try to put up a scan of it later.

Target did a promotion like this last spring using a Newsweek cover. The coupon you get is for the thick Retote bag that retails for $5.99 (or thereabouts if I recall correctly.) They are very sturdy and nice -- much better than most reusable bags you get. They are also made out of old Target bags.

If you don't have a People magazine, try to find one at your recycling center. Then the bag is completely free, and you have recycled your Target bags to boot.

That's even better then! I don't think I've ever seen anything other than the 99 cent bags in stores. But you're right... this is the retote bag:

Here's the scan of the inside of the People cover:

Bumping this one. There's still a few weeks to send in your plastic Target bags.
Miranda
Less than a week to get this one postmarked (30th is a Sunday).

I still don't have enough Target bags. blushing.gif Been a while since I've even been to Target.

BTW, for anyone who's downloading the scans... if you don't have a printer that can print on 11x17 paper, just download the 8.5x11 version, that splits it up into two 8.5x11 pages, but you can just tape them together.

A few more days to get this postmarked.

I finally got enough plastic bags to mail out today. I went to Target guest services and asked for any they were throwing out and the CSR gave me a bag with a bunch of other bags in it.

I received mine, too. smile.gif

The Target I went to today didn't have the bags yet. They said they were on order. They only had the 99 cent bags. I'll have to try the other Target.

Coupons expire soon.

If anyone has trouble finding the bags at your Target store, ask for them at the service desk. They were behind the counter there, at my local store.

They were on an endcap in the grocery section of the Target I went to today, along with a bunch of other reusable Target bags.
