In the past I purchased at least 2 electric blankets from Costco.
I've noticed that with time they tend to shrink.

I'd like to get a King sized electric blanket, and don't know:

1) What would be the best place to get it at.
2) What would be a fair price
3) Which brand/model would have the best features.

I don't need cordless remotes (I'd lose them!!) and I think I wouldn't want to pay more than $120.00

Is this doable or am I dreaming?

Also, my last blanket's feel was almost that of a horse blanket, is there such a thing as a "softer" electric blanket?

I gave up on electric blankets for some of the same reasons...nasty texture, constant pilling-no matter how carefully I washed them (we had 5 at one time--Iowa winters and unheated bedrooms). A few years ago I switched to electric mattress pads and will never go back to the blankets..if they pill, you can't see it; you can use your favorite soft blankets; and no fighting with the cords!

I hate to rain on your parade, but I would suggest that you not use one if you value your health. Electric blankets emit high intensity Electromagnetic Fields, that can be very dangerous with chronic exposure. Here is an article on the subject:
