Firefox updated itself automatically today. My bookmarks & links toolbar disappeared. bang.gif bang.gif
Any ideas how to find my missing links & bookmarks?

Or how to undo the latest upgrade? TIA

You can find me in a rubber room... bang.gif bang.gif

what happened to the bookmark button on top?

Are you using FF 3?

See if the bookmarks toolbar is checked:

Thanks, I deleted the files as those directions said...however....it seems I've killed my ff, it won't load at all now. <knew I should never upgrade until all of the kinks have been fixed>

WARNING to ALL: DO NOT let ff auto upgrade to 3.0.1

my system was fine on the ff3 beta but today's auto upgrade killed everything bang.gif bang.gif bang.gif
to answer das:
when ff 3 was still working after the upgrade, even when the bookmark toolbar was checked, it was empty, like ff had amnesia. The only option it offered was to import bookmarks from ie bang.gif

OK, I found my bookmarks. They had to be imported:

Starting in Firefox 3, you will be able to restore a bookmarks file from the Bookmarks menu:

Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Import [from %APPDATA% then Mozilla then Firefox then Profiles then the xxxxxnumbered file name then bookmarkbackups folder then pick a previous file date]

Glad you got it working. You made a backup after this experience, right? RIGHT? smile.gif

Odd, I'm using 3.0.1 and didn't have this problem.

I haven't bookmarked anything with my browser's built in bookmarks for a long time though. I mostly use delicious now - that way, I can still access my bookmarks even if I'm not home.

Odd....I've been using 3.0.1 for a while now. Just checked for new updates and no new updates.
