Well.....The status bar in internet explorer disappears in WinXP.

I always liked having it locked at the bottom of the screen.

So....I found this tip on the internet on how to do it:

Enjoy smile.gif

----------------------------------

1) Start with one instance of IE.
2) Select View | Status Bar.
3) Now press Ctrl while clicking the X in the upper-right-hand corner of the window to close the application.
4) Next, open My Computer and select View | Status Bar.
5) Finally, go to Tools | Folder Options and select the View tab.
6) Click Apply to all folders, confirm the dialog, and then close Windows Explorer.

Ahhh, I had done that once. Then after a re-install, I never got around to figuring that out again. Thanks for the tip!

I did this right after I installed XP because I like having the status bar there too. I'm not sure why the default on XP is not to show it.

Thank you so VERY much!

I had it locked, but some crappy Jscript site opened a window w/o the status bar, and ever since then I had to keep re-enabling every time.

Whew!!
