Size?

Warranty?

Do you have someone to pick up the items, since most stores only provide free delivery when the customer spend so much?

Do you a frame/head board, since the "free" frame has become a thing of the past.

Sometime Sears or JC Penny will offer odds and ends "well known name" mattresses and box springs at good prices. Avoiding a shipping charge and getting the deal at your local store is important. Finally, check your Yellow Pages for local factories that manufacture these items.

I spent a lot of time doing research on that forum when we bought mattresses.

I remember not long ago there was an article on MSN about some merchanise that are "ALWAY" on sale, and besides the cars, mattresses is another. NOBODY pay full price on a set, ever.

In my case, I was in a hurry and bought my set from Sears. Good thing they have free delivery. And I shut my eyes at the price tag ever since.

I need to purchase a new mattress/box spring set, also. I'm looking for either a full or queen size set; a medium-soft, I guess I'd say. I've found one or two I like, at Mattress Warehouse, but don't know anything about the two brand names. Has anyone purchased a bed there before? Are there any opinions of these brands, if you own them? Thanks in advance! smile.gif

- International Bedding (Mattress Warehouse)
- Sleep Logic (Mattress Warehouse)
- Serta (various stores)
- Sealy (various stores)
- Spring Air (JC Penney)

Availabe space in the bedroom often determine what set one buys. But, if two people share the bed regularly, go with the queen. Have the sales person at Matress Warehouse go over the construction of both the mattresses and boxsprings you like, along with details of the warranty. If you plan to turn your mattress over monthly as recommended, a well built queen size mattress is a dead weight and probably take two to flip.

The bed is for just one person. I've had a twin for wayyyy too many years, and am so tired of that little thing... plus the springs that are now pushing their way to the top of it. dry.gif I pretty much have room for either a full or queen set. I know the coil count of the two at Mattress Warehouse (the 500 ct. is more comfortable to me, than the 400 set). Their sets have a 10-year warranty, but I haven't asked for all of the details of it so far. And I could be wrong on this, but I think either of the two I've looked at there, only need turned end to end occasionally - which in itself is enough fun wink.gif - rather than flipped over.

I do appreciate that M.W. gives you the frame with the bed, and offers free delivery and removal of your old set. Without a vehicle of my own, delivery is a necessity, and the less cost involved, the better. But I'd like to have more options to choose from, than just the two beds at Mattress Warehouse.
