So I received an invite today and I couldn't believe we don't have a thread regarding this (if someone finds a thread, please PM me so I can merge these). Anyone have any feedback?

You can earn e-Miles miles to be deposited into your frequent flyer account with Continental Airlines®, Delta Air Lines®, Northwest Airlines®, or US Airways®.

e-Miles is an exclusive new online program that rewards you for your time with airline miles. It's absolutely free. As a Member of e-Miles, you can earn free miles in just minutes a day — simply by reading and responding to marketing messages based on your preferences.

During enrollment you set your e-mail frequency by telling us the maximum number of e-mails you wish to receive each week notifying you of earning opportunities as well as your areas of interest. The number of opportunities to earn miles is dependent on the areas of interest you have indicated. The more information you provide e-Miles, the more relevant your offers will be. To validate or change your e-mail frequency, click E-mail Frequency and follow the step-by-step instructions provided.

Miles deposited from e-Miles into your chosen frequent flyer account are subject to the rules of the Sponsor airline frequent flyer program.
Do these count as FF miles?

I have been using eMiles for about 6 months now. You must earn 500 miles by doing their little surveys before any miles are transferred over. I have already earned about 900 miles by spending about 5 minutes a week. The miles will be added on to your account every quarter that you have a minimum of 500 to transfer. So far so good!

Do they add as FF miles towards status?

In which frequent flyer programs can I earn miles?

Status miles are not always the same, Harley. For instance I would get 1.25 miles for every mile I fly with my elite status, but only 1 mile (not the .25) goes towards earning status next year.

So, I'd like to know if anyone knows if these award miles are status miles?

I did the eMiles thing and I did all the math. For a free continental US ticket its around 25,000 miles. I was doing about 20 minutes worth of surveys for around 100 miles. Maybe I was being truthful or not doing enough, but 20 minutes for 100 miles, if I multiplied my time I was getting paid about 2-3 dollars an hour. I was like screw that, so if you do this, make sure to watch your time.
