Sad day

Today we received an e-mail from Microsoft, requesting the immediate take-down of the download page, which of course means that AutoPatcher is probably history. As much as we disagree, we can do very little, and although the download page is merely a collection of mirrors, we took the download page down.

We would like to thank you for your support. For the past 4 years, it has been a blast. Unfortunately, it seems like it's the end of AutoPatcher as we know it.

Comments are welcome...

its sad autopatcher is offline. It was so useful to have the majority of updates in a nice package.

Speaking of crap - has anyone ever used this service?

Yes, it does work but it's limited because it won't remove everything that's considered to be crapware from a new PC. It's kind of like trying to play whack-a-mole. Most folks would be better served reinstalling the OS from scratch (using CD/DVD), but most folks also don't want to bother.

A quick google search reveals the mirror sites are still up with the August downloads available. Get 'em before MS takes them down also.
