Hi Guys,

I am having issues configuring my Cisco 7960 phone with VBuzzer.

Here are my settings.

Settings->SIP Configuration->1 Line 1 Settings

1. Name: Name
2. Shortname: Shortname
3. Authentication Name: <VBuzzer Username>
4. Authentication Password: <VBuzzer Password>
5. Display Name: Display Name
6. Proxy Address: vbuzzer.com
7. Proxy Port: 80

Settings->SIP Configuration-> 1 to 7 Unchanged
8. Preffered Codec: g711ulaw
9. Out of Band DTMP: avt (I think avt=auto)
10. Register with Proxy: yes
11. Register expires: 3600
12. TFTP directory: <leave empty>
13. Phone Label: <UNPROVISIONED>
14. Enable VAD: No
15: VoIP Control Port: 5060
16: Start Media Port: 16384
17: End Media Port: 32766
18: Backup Proxy: <UNPROVISIONED>
19: Backup proxy port: 5060
20: Emergency proxy: <UNPROVISIONED>
21: Emergency proxy port: 5060
22: Outbound Proxy: vbuzzer.com (I think its not required, only for BuzzOut)
23: Outbound Proxy port: 80
24: NAT Enabled: Yes
25: NAT Address: <UNPROVISIONED>
26: Call Statstics: No

Now if people call my number it goes to voice mail "the party you're to reach is unavailable please leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible."

Also if I try to dial out I get a fast busy.

Using VBuzzer software and Linksys PAP2 works fine.

Anybody has any luck configuring Cisco7960 phone with VBuzzer.

Which firmware are you on?

I would try out the latest sip firmware and see if that helps

is that sort of what's happening to your Cisco 7960?

Another thread that mentions NAT Traversal Issues

I would test some NAT changes and then some registration setting changess to see if you can get it to work.

If you do get it resolved, please post your final settings.

OK, NAT could be a culprit:

I connected my phone directly to the Internet without a router, surprisingly didn't work! the phone isn't even showing connectivity (the small telephone icon on the upper right corner on the phone shows a "cross").

When i connected the phone through router I dont see a "cross" on the upper right corner on the phone icon.

I am thinking about there is some limitation with Cisco IP Phone because VBuzzer uses out of ordinary settings.

This thing really stumpped me.......sad.gif

I would like to add that one of the Betamax services are working fine with my phone behind NAT, but its only VBuzzer that is not working either behind NAT or directly through the Internet.

I have tried various combinations of different settings (I can't even remember what I tried) couldn't seem to work no matter what I try. Any help would be really appreciated.
