I want to buy a present for someone who did a very big favor for me. I was thinking of a nice sized basket of dried fruits dipped in chocolate.

In particular I would like it to have, dates, figs and apricots, it can also contain nuts, and the chocolate should be just chocolate with no gelatin additives.

I cannot find a nice, impressive enough basket or package. Can you please help me find one? I would like to keep the price under $100.00 and I would like it to be of the best quality possible. This present is meant to be for a family of 4 (and a baby) so it should contain enough goodies for all.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Have you looked at Harry & David? Their stuff is excellent quality and the fruit is always amazing.

true, they don't seem to have dried fruit dipped in chocolate though...

Edible Arrangements has stuff similar to what you're looking for, but their prices are pretty high. I've never ordered from them (due to the aforementioned high prices)

Thank you, slight change of plans, now I'm told they don't particularly care for chocolate blink.gif so I'll have to look for something without... thanks, I'll check into edible arrangements....

You could have always bought the dried fruit separately and dipped it yourself...Curtis uses Lindt....

Cookies by Design is fun, if they have them out your way...

Just wondering what you consider "gourmet???" Back when there were decent wine tags, I used the "gourmet cheese" on sliced American @ Eagle I think...the cashier asked me if it was gourmet, and I told her in my town, many folks would think it so since it's doesn't say K R A F T on front of it... biggrin.gif

We've done at least a dozen in the past three years... and while I had sent Goos one years ago I had never seen a bouquet. Today we received one and I have to say they really are different. The one we received is huge, but the way they do the "flowers" and the "picks" is very interesting. I sent one to each Mom on Mother's Day, same item, same delivery day. The cost was $15 higher in Nevada than in NYS, so delivery prices and taxes will vary. Do a google search for a coupon code - there is usually a $3-$5 one floating around.
