I got in on the Staples dvd media deal, but apparently the disks don't work well in my new players. It does work well in my old apex dvd player. So, looking for apex dvd player or equivalent that will virtually play all types of media. As with apex, pic quality is not as important as the media able to play.

Prefer new, not ebay. Suggestions?

This will play where others will skip? Walmart is a good option, I could return if it does not work.

Sylvania's DVL150G progressive-scan DVD player offers high performance in an affordable package. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, resulting in higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating motion blurs.

Other features include Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel digital output for hookup with a compatible audio/video receiver and speaker system, simulated surround sound through any two speakers, 2x and 4x zoom, search speeds up to 100x, 10-point bookmarking, and parental lock. Video outputs include component-video, S-video, and composite-video terminals. Auto power off conserves energy and extends product life.
