I've to be truthful, I use to buy the 'long' dozen package of glaze donuts, while going to college. Often times, the price would slashed and I could grab two boxes instead of one.

Meth Lab Found in Walmart Bathroom Stall

It was unclear why the meth-maker set up shop there, since she was not using Walmart brand pseudephedrine

Maybe in AL coupons may be used on such products??? Not so in IA...

QUOTE (kar522 @ 4-22-12, 9:18am) *

On the other hand, the losers at MSN reprinted the NYT hachet job, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/47128671/ns/wo...new_york_times/

I graduate from a university where most looked upon Walmart in a positive light. It helps when another graduate ran Walmart for a few years. Although some businesses do fold when Walmart opens in a small town, folks do finds they can shop after dinner, later on Saturday and on Sunday and finally, Walmart management is willing to offer wage increases for those willing to work hard.

Perhaps the liberals should be more concern of how local politicans offer tax incentives for a billionaire to built in their communities, which often allows Walmart to relocated a store in a area with a better customer base. The bottom line is that management shouldn't standby while customer service goes downhill, the help seem lazy and folks fear to get out of their vehicle, just with the goal another store be built elsewhere.

Instead of the socialist losers, aka the buffoon and other Demorats, looking for a pound of flesh from Walmart, this is a more sensible approach. Walmart is a private company that should answer to the stockholders and the Mexican government. If Mexican officials prove in a court of law that Walmart management offered bribes, then the DOJ should go after Walmart. Given the clueless and useless hate Walmart, I doubt this administration will wait.

Here is wiki entry on derivative lawsuit, a term I wasn't familar with until now. I know that in the past an order of nuns purchased enough stocks to force the Walmart board to consider a (socialist) petition at an annual meeting.

QUOTE
Wal-Mart shareholder sues over bribery scandal

A shareholder sued the board and several officers of Wal-Mart Stores Inc on Wednesday over allegations that the company's Mexican affiliate paid bribes to local officials.

The lawsuit seeks to recover damage to the company's reputation as well as costs of investigating the claims, according to the complaint, which was filed in the Court of Chancery in Delaware, where Wal-Mart is incorporated.

The "illegal payments have and will continue to irreparably damage Wal-Mart's corporate image and goodwill and jeopardize its ability to do business in foreign countries," said the lawsuit, which was brought by Henrietta Klein.

The complaint was filed as a derivative lawsuit, which seeks to recover money on behalf of the company rather than shareholders.

When the large financial institutions became shakey a few year back, it became known that some public employees pension plans had invested in derivative funds. In other words, those who arein charge neglected safety to 'bet' on higher return and when it came to long term investments, they didn't know their a$$e$ from a hole in the ground.

Now we find that the clueless, led by the NEA and AFT, might say nasty things about Walmart and do alot of hand wringing; but it takes Walmart bad PR for these clowns to take a stand. Yes, talking out both sides of their mouth and where the sun don't shine. Hey, if clueless George Soro gives out back to school checks, some over educated and over paid union clown could direct the useless to go buy that new HDTV at Walmart, instead of Kmart.

California Pension Fund Sues Walmart Leaders Over Alleged Bribery Scandal

QUOTE
The California State Teachers' Retirement System is suing Walmart executives, saying they had breached their responsibility in how they dealt with the claims of bribery. The fund filed a derivative suit, says the Associated Press, in state court in Delaware, seeking "changes in corporate governance and improvements in its internal procedures" at Walmart.

Wal-Mart Launching "Goodies" Food Service

ROGERS, Arkansas | Thu May 31, 2012 5:14pm EDT

ROGERS, Arkansas (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N) will soon launch a monthly mail subscription service called "Goodies" that will allow customers to sample new foods not found in stores run by the world's biggest retailer.

Once a month, subscribers will get a surprise box of items that will include artisanal foods, Global eCommerce Chief Executive Neil Ashe told reporters Thursday at a meeting in Rogers, Arkansas.

The service, which "will launch in the next month or so," comes as Wal-Mart samples its customers' appetite for a wider variety of food while it experiments with grocery delivery in the San Francisco Bay area and parts of Chicago.

Ashe did not disclose the monthly charge for the Goodies service, which will focus on packaged food.

At first, Wal-Mart will select the products sent to subscribers, though over time companies may be able to pay to have their products included in the Goodies boxes.

Ashe said Goodies is akin to Birchbox, a monthly service that allows customers to sample beauty products such as cosmetics and skin-care potions.

Woman clears Walmart with purse 'meth lab'

One woman's attempt at multi-tasking ended with a Walmart store being evacuated after she was allegedly caught shoplifting while cooking meth in her purse. Store security and police say they discovered the "one pot" batch of methamphetamine in a soda bottle in the woman's possession. They evacuated the crowded South County Walmart store in St. Louis County, Miss., due to the volatile chemicals involved. No one was injured, and the woman and her male companion were arrested. "There are lots of one-pot cooks," said St. Louis County police Lt. Mark Cox. "But taking it into Walmart is very unusual."

Don't be too fraking shocked if after the buffoon loses in November or George Zimmerman walks, a few urban Walmart stores are flash mobbed/looted and then torched.
