I never really bothered until last year, when my brother and I got up early and hit the stores. We got some great deals and finished a significant amount of our Christmas shopping. Will probably go again this year.

Only if it is not cold, doesn't snow, and everyone else stays home. I might hit the local Walmart in the afternoon, if there's nothing better to do. I do shop online... smile.gif

I seldom buy anything at Black Friday until last year, when mom was activated and wanted to "shop like a B$er". I prepared all the shopping list for her and decided why not to go with her. It was nothing much but everyone in the family got something nice at a low price.

Online - possibly. In Store - Not a bit.

I just can't fight the crowds, and everyone is nasty because they want their item. It's just a bad experience, and I would much rather spend the day off work with my family.

Only if what I want to buy is at a good price- last year was my first time out, and it was crowded but overall very pleasant. People were generally polite and nobody was pushing.

Is Black Friday Really worth it???

Getting up with my DH at 3am.....(the hush in the house makes me giddy with glee) bounce4.gif
Creeping out of the house so we don't wake up the children or my mother(who slept over to watch the children while we're gone)... Stopping to get cappuccinos for the wait in line...... coffee.gif
Drinking coffee and reviewing our "game plan" while we wait for the running of the bulls to start....oh...wait..I mean the store to open....
Watching my DH run the opposite direction of myself as we rush to get the designated items...
Meeting back at the front of the store after checkout...... dance.gif
Rushing to the next store for the next running of the bulls....oh...wait...I mean the next store to open....
We do this until about 6pm....when we finally arrive home with our Expedition laden with presents. The only reason we've stopped is because we are out of room in the truck. happy.gif
So you ask if Black Friday is worth it????

Full Tank of Gas- $98
Cappuccinos- $4
Fast Food Breakfast & Lunch- $20
Black Friday Shopping Receipts- $2000
Spending a WHOLE DAY shopping with my Darling Husband without any complaints from him AND saving a ton of money- PRICELESS wub.gif

In answer to your question.....

YES!!!! Black Friday Shopping Is Well Worth It!!! LOL!

I love going out on Black Friday. We do not have internet access at home, so online shopping is not an option. Besides, I get a rush out of the shopping experience, not to mention, great deals. With my children getting older and more expensive (electronics on the list now), I have to do what I can to get great deals.

Last year was my first ever black friday experience and I had a great time.
As a stay at home mom, it was thrilling to hang out in line all night, having adult conversations. I may participate this year just for the socialization. blushing.gif
I met a really great group of people, maybe we'll all get together again this year.
