Wow, I didn't notice Deal Discussion and Requests got consolidated until now.

Anyways, C2it is dropping use of Visa credit and debit cards beginning August 17, 2003. After this date, you can only link Mastercard cards. This is just a heads up for those who have not used their accounts in a while or who are unaware of the change. I received this in my email.

"1) Changes to c2it Terms of Use
Use of Visa Cards with c2it
Effective August 17, 2003, c2it will no longer be processing
transactions made with Visa credit or debit cards. For your
convenience, c2it will automatically remove your linked Visa credit
and debit cards as payment options for c2it transactions beginning
August 17, 2003. Additionally, you will not be able to add new Visa
credit or debit cards to your c2it Profile after this effective date.
As always, however, all credit and debit card information, including
Visa credit and debit cards, that we have on file for you will remain
private and secure.

Please be sure to read the revised Terms & Conditions for complete
details of this change and how it impacts your c2it membership. You
can review the Terms and Conditions that will be effective August 17,
2003 by logging onto the website at http://www.c2it.com and clicking
the link to the new Terms and Conditions from the home page. By
logging on and using the service after the effective date, you are
agreeing to these new Terms & Conditions. "

Well, that stinks. I don't have any Mastercards. But I haven't used c2it very much since I got my free money from them.

What do you mean by "free money"? Remember, c2it is not the same as the Citi Cash Card that many ppl got last yr if that was what you are referring to. This policy would not apply to the Cash Card.

By "free money" I mean the $5 they gave you for signing up and another $5 they gave you for the first time you sent money to someone (they ended this sometime last year).

Citibank seems to only offer MasterCards now. They used to have VISA and MC (several years ago). They must have cozied up to MC and have a nice deal with them ...

I really hate how all of these online money services want to have their hooks into your checking/savings account. I'd much rather deal with them via CC...

What they really need is a service that would let people transfer funds from one CC# to another CC#...
