Starting Next week Minolta 1350W has $80 MIR

$179.99 - $80 MIR - $80 (PM with staples) = $19.99 + tax on $99.99 banana.gif

$80 rebate

Actually, you should be able to make this hotter as OMAX provides the 115% price match guarantee, so you should be able to get it for $179.99 - $92 PM (115% x 80) - $80 rebate = $7.99 + taxes!!

WOOHOO!! tongue.gif

seems the PM here is not easy.
just read OM's PM policy.
there are two thing i am concerning:
1.
"If you find a lower price at any office product superstore on a new identical item, just show us the lower price when you buy the item at OfficeMax or within 14 days after your OfficeMax purchase and we'll give you 115% of the difference (up to $55.00). "

2.
"Available coupons and rebates will be deducted from the OfficeMax price to come up with a new OfficeMax price when calculating the price match. For example, if you buy an item from us for $100 and we offer a $10 rebate, the net price is $90. "

so base on the second one, there will be no PM at all !!!

is it YMMV?

Most of the times online they will give all sort of reasons to reject the PM.
I think the best bet will be buying at B&M.

Is this $55 PM limit is new? Lately I haven't looked at PM policy online.

Good luck then..

Not new at all but the $55 limit applies to the additional 15% only, or so I interpret it.

This is definitely a YMMV at my local OMax since they seem to always factor in the rebate when doing the PM.

Same here. And yes, $55 applies to 15% guarantee only.

Same in my local OM. I never have good luck with them while doing PM.

From the PM policy it does look like they'll subtract the rebate and then say it's the same price so no price match...but I may try anyway.

Walked into OM B&M and got the PM with Staples.

The manager didn't seem too happy to do a 100% PM, so I didn't try to get the 115% match.

She refused to give me the rebate receipt, because I had "already gotten a rebate".

Guess she thought she had showed me a thing or two! banana.gif

Thanks, OP.

If she didn't write something on your receipt, you can submit a rebate form on-line, right? tongue.gif

Yes but someone mentioned on FW that there is now a Disclaimer that if the purchase price has the rebate value incorporated in it or something then the rebate will not be valid. I am not 100% positive on this but maybe someone who purchased it can enlighten the thread ( i did not). This is actually i belive a direct result of Parago and Minolta working together as its been the case of double/tripple and even quadruple dipping with Minolta rebates and i think they are finally getting smarter.

Hey bhai, i think from now on we should just put the disclaimer about this $55 PM thingamajig as it comes up every time a OM PM deals shows up.

The $55 cap is only for the extra 15% as everyone said, you should still receive your 100% part of the PM no matter at what value (technically).

I know that there have been cases where the managers have implied the wrong wording of that part and only allowed the customer to PM for a total of $55 but i know for a fact that those managers are wrong as i did call corporate on this issue one and got a verification before i made an asss of myself in the store.

Well, I went in today, didn't expect much...but I got a price match with no trouble! They only gave me 100% and I didn't bother arguing it; $30 for a laser printer (after tax and rebate) is good enough for me. :-)

Thanx!
